Orlando

Orlando, Florida

These photographs were made in and round Orlando, Florida. I am currently in Orlando supporting the disaster recovery efforts from Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne, and Ivan. The office photographs are of the Geospatial Informational Systems (GIS) office. I was playing with the color balance on the camera, which is why there is a variation in the colors. The next few photographs are actually of Tampa. I took them the day after we partied for Halloween at Guavaween. The aerial photographs were made during final descent into the Orlando airport. I noticed the Nissan Frontier in front of me with a license plate from Alaska. Since it seemed so appropriate that the license plate read "Where are we?" and they were so far from home, I had to make a picture of it. Did you know if you have a flat tire in a Hertz rental car, they will send someone to fix the flat right there on the spot? It might not happen every time, but the did find someone who could do that in my case.
